This page is intended for students and trainees looking for an Erasmus internship in Kraków, an Erasmus teaching placement in Poland, a preschool internship in Kraków, or supervised early-childhood education experience in an international setting.

What you may do during your placement

Activities depend on your studies, experience, language skills and the objectives agreed with your sending institution. Under the supervision of our team, a placement may include:

• supporting teachers during classroom activities and daily routines;
• helping with French- or English-language immersion activities;
• storytelling, songs, games, creative activities and age-appropriate projects;
• supporting supervised indoor and outdoor activities;
• helping children develop confidence communicating in another language;
• observing and learning from a multilingual preschool environment.

Erasmus trainees support the educational team. A trainee placement does not replace the role of a qualified teacher responsible for a preschool group.

Who should apply?

We are particularly interested in applicants studying:

• early childhood education or preschool education;
• education or pedagogy;
• teaching;
• psychology or child development;
• French, English or other language-related programmes;
• other relevant programmes involving education or work with children.

You should enjoy working with young children, be reliable and comfortable working as part of an international team. French or English should be one of your working languages. Knowledge of Polish is welcome but is not required for every placement.

How the application works

1. Apply: send us your CV, university/sending institution, course, languages, requested dates and Erasmus+ funding status.
2. Short video interview: we discuss your goals, availability, language level and experience with children.
3. University documents: if there is a suitable match, we coordinate the placement documentation and Learning Agreement with you and your sending institution where applicable.
4. Safeguarding checks: before any work with children begins, the required identity, safeguarding and criminal-record documentation must be completed as applicable to the placement and Polish requirements.
5. Placement confirmation: once the documentation and checks are complete, we confirm your dates and practical arrangements.

Erasmus+ funding and placement status

Maternelle Française de Cracovie can act as a receiving organisation for suitable trainees. We do not award Erasmus+ grants. Erasmus+ funding is normally arranged through the applicant's sending university or institution. Any additional financial support, benefits or employment arrangement must be agreed separately and should not be assumed as part of the placement.
